Pre-K Program

Welcome to the Elizabeth City - Pasquotank Public Schools Pre-Kindergarten program located at Sheep-Harney Elementary School! We are pleased to have your child enrolled in our program and look forward to the opportunity to be of service to you during the school year.

The primary objective of the Pre-K program is to offer early intervention skills to students and prepare them for Kindergarten by creating successful life-long learning opportunities. The instructional program is designed to provide learning experiences within each of the objectives for developmental learning - cognitive, social/emotional, language, physical, literacy, mathematics, science and technology, social studies, art, and English language acquisition.

The ECPPS Pre-Kindergarten Program is located at Sheep Harney. There are eight regular classrooms and two Special Pre-K classrooms. Teachers use the North Carolina Foundations for Early Learning and Development and Creative Curriculum to guide instruction for the children.
